There are many interesting things to see in amsterdam. There is a festival held every year called Koninginnedag which means Queen's Day. It celebrates the nations unity and togetherness. The festival is held on the queens birthday every year. The traditions started on August 31, 1885 which was Princess Wilhelmina's birthday. This day is also known for the free market which means you can sell anything on the streets. During the festival the dancers and other people wear all orange. Amsterdam has a population of 1.36 million people in an area of 64.1 square miles. There is a river called Amstel near Amsterdam. The official language of the Netherlands and Amsterdam is dutch. The GDP of the Netherlands is $40,558.
